+ Personal Lines Account ManagerThere are 2 positions available for a Personal Lines Account Manager. One in the Frankenmuth office and one in the Caro office.
JOB TITLE: Personal Lines Account Manager
SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated and positive customer-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to join our independent insurance agency. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service to our clients and prospects through phone, email, text, or in-person interactions. You will manage home, auto, and umbrella policies, providing consultative support while expanding and servicing existing coverage. Proficiency with agency technologies and workflows is required, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and insurance partners. This position offers opportunities to take on leadership roles and build relationships that can lead to referral business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to inquiries from clients via phone, email, text, or fax, following established procedures and meeting insurance company and agency standards.
- Engage clients in policy reviews, address endorsements, re-quotes, upselling, and coverage adjustments as needed.
- Ensure all client information is current, documenting updates in the agency management system.
- Complete workflows using the agency management system, manage workload efficiently, and maintain proper documentation.
- Actively seek referral prospects from clients and enter them into the agency system.
- Process and issue new policies, including gathering information, preparing quotes, obtaining signed applications, collecting down payments, and transmitting policy information to insurance carriers.
- Provide assistance to insureds by offering information to banks, mortgage companies, and car dealers.
- Receive and advise insureds on claim submissions, including coverage availability and potential policy implications.
- Process policy cancellations per client requests, following procedural guidelines and documenting accordingly.
- Collaborate with underwriters and clients to resolve any underwriting issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance company systems, underwriting guidelines, and eligibility requirements.
- Participate actively in scheduled staff meetings and contribute to discussions on assigned topics.
- Track and work toward achieving applicable incentive goals.
- Escalate issues with coworkers, carriers, systems, or workflows to the Personal Lines Manager as needed.
- Maintain consistent attendance and follow approved procedures for scheduling changes or PTO requests.
- Obtain and maintain a valid Michigan agent’s license and CISR designation within schedule requirements.
- Engage in professional development through seminars and training.
- Uphold the agency’s core values of honesty, integrity, professionalism, and commitment to relationship-building and personal growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role operates in a professional office setting and involves the regular use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and printers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The job requires regular communication through talking and listening. It also includes frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity tasks, such as typing and reaching with hands and arms.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Part-time remote work may be available once job proficiency is consistently demonstrated and approved by the department manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Property and Casualty license(s) preferred upon hire and required within 90 days.
- Life Insurance license preferred (but not required).
- Professional designations preferred (not required upon hire).
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in customer service is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems preferred.

JOB TITLE: Commercial and Farm Lines Account Executive
SUMMARY: We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Commercial and Farm Lines Account Executive to join our independent insurance agency. In this key role, you will deliver outstanding service to clients and prospects via phone, email, text, or face-to-face meetings. Your primary responsibilities are to (1) cultivate and enhance relationships with existing clients and (2) acquire new business from commercial and farm clients through proactive prospecting and referral generation. Proficiency with agency technologies and workflows is essential, along with a collaborative approach to working with clients, team members, and insurance partners. This role offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities and build a network that supports referral-based business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct policy reviews, manage endorsements, re-quoting, upselling, and make coverage adjustments to meet client needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to generate and follow up on referrals, converting them into new business opportunities.

- Maintain consistent attendance, following approved procedures for any schedule changes or PTO requests.
- Obtain and maintain a valid Michigan agent’s license and CISR designation within the required timeframe.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through seminars and training sessions.
- Uphold the agency’s core values of honesty, integrity, professionalism, and dedication to relationship-building and personal growth.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

This is a full-time position. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Compensation consists of Base Salary plus Commission. Evenings and weekends may be required. Personal automobile required to drive to appointments to meet with prospects and clients in multiple counties (mileage reimbursement applies).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Appropriate State license(s).
- Minimum 3 years’ insurance brokerage or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience in Crop or Dairy Farming.
- High school degree minimum, some college preferred
- Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management techniques.
- Excellent time management, organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of self-motivation and self-direction.
