Emil Rummel Agency, Inc. is continually growing! We are seeking a full-time Receptionist / Personal Lines Technician to join our Saginaw office team. This position is responsible for making a positive and professional impression on people who call and/or visit our agency. We take pride in building, nurturing, and retaining client relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receptionist
- Answer and direct incoming calls in a friendly and cheerful manner, speak clearly and use correct English and proper telephone techniques.
- Record and forward accurate messages including name of caller, phone number & other pertinent information. Use Voice Mail as appropriate
- Maintain standards for telephone activity including answering call no later than the third ring, keep up with who is holding and don’t leave them on hold for over a minute unless you can obtain their approval for doing so.
- Conduct a professional, friendly and courteous attitude towards visitors and co-workers.
- Accept client payments, prepare receipts, enter payments on websites and log appropriately.
- Maintain internal employee tracking for in/out of office
- Balance branch cash box and prepare bank deposits on a scheduled basis
- Coordinate and prepare documents for property inspections.
- Maintain neat professional appearance of office area visible to clients.
- Assume other duties or projects as required and assigned.
Personal Lines Technician
- Maintain working knowledge of computer systems and websites needed to perform duties.
- Secure transaction reports from company websites and process all information in agency computer system.
- Review renewal policies for specific criteria as outlined by management. Determine premium changes and document renewal policy in agency computer system as outlined in Procedures Manual.
Review policy endorsement declaration pages for accuracy, document premium changes in agency computer system. Refer corrections back to Account Managers for processing.
- Review company cancellations issued and determine reason for cancellation. Document transaction in agency computer system as outlined in Procedures Manual.
- Review new policies, comparing policy issued to coverages quoted and/or indicated on signed application. Document new policies in agency computer system and generate appropriate letters and next steps in new business workflow.
- Enter claim payment information in agency computer system.
- Assume other duties or projects as required and assigned.
- Consistent attendance is required at the workplace to perform essential functions of the job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Experience and Experience:
